Got confused about the difference between ‘What’ and ‘How’? If Yes, the video is for you.
“How” is used when you ask the following, - either about someone or something.
The manner, e.g., how did you break it?
The degree, e.g., how bad is the American economy?
The condition or health, e.g., how was the weather? How is Michael?
The experience, e.g., how was your trip to Hawaii?
On the other hand “What” is used to ask for descriptions or more detailed information – Either about someone or something!
Examples: What is the problem? What do you want? What did David say? What is going on here? How did you know what David told me?
In general, “How” is used to ask in which way, whereas “what” is used to ask more detailed information about something or someone.
Hope this clears your confusion.
Thanks for watching.
